I've been incarcerated for almost 3 years now. A year and a half here on Texas death Row. Apprehended for capital murder of a police officer, five aggravated assault on police officers and possession of methamphetamine.
These crimes are hideous no doubt, but please remember that only so much of the truth is truth. But this is not the time or place to get into my case.
This is a time to express my longing and need for support, help, and friendship.
I just turned 30 yrs old. And I've come to understand the quiet, sound proof, lonely place I live in. It's not easy to maintain day in and day out.
However it takes less than you might imagine to reach in and hear us. Simply, it takes human hearts and understanding.
I have come into contact with a few individuals willing to reach out. However, sadly not as many as I had hoped. I feel maybe it's my charges that scare people away. I ask you to look past this. And also realize there are two sides to every story; and a flip-side as well. I'm not saying I'm not a monster so I ask you to decide for yourself.
My name is Wesley Ruiz, I'm the father of 3 beautiful boys. And they keep me going everyday. I'm locked down 22 hours a day, so I spend a lot of my time reading books and writing. While trying to maintain my composure until justice is served.
I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan, as well as Dallas Maveriks. Hometown Love!! So I ask individuals reading this to extend a hand, some time, devotion and dedication into this cold, ineffective and oppressing environment; To assist me in reaching the goals and aims I know i can achieve with a little support and help.
