11 years of being throughly traumatized, systematically oppressed and de-graded....
11 years of being trapped inside of a single cage the same size as the smallest room in your house; that’s what has happened to me for 11 years.
I should be an animal, shouldn’t I? Or better yet, the monster hiding under your bed, right? WRONG!!! The fact is, I’m no different from you. I like to laugh out loud, make funny faces and talk about everything that’s going on in the world, just as you do... where we differ is, I’m incarcerated and you’re not.
My name is ruben Gutierrez and I’ve been on Texas Death Row for a little over 10 years now. i can’t tell you that I’m “THIS”-”THAT” or the “OTHER” because with each and every changing day, so do I change. What I can tell you, is that I’m genuine and down to earth man, with a good sense of humor. Life is the strangest thing because opportunities always present themselves and while we focus on other things that have no true meaning, those special opportunities slip pass us.. Let us explore this particular opportunity, who knows what it holds? I’m waiting on you!!!
