A Gary man charged with killing his wife and 2 stepchildren could face the
death penalty if he's convicted of the 3 murder counts he goes on trial for
46-year-old Kevin Isom is charged in the August 2007 shooting deaths of his
wife of 12 years , Cassandra, 40, and her children, Michael Moore, 16, and
Ci'Andria Cole, 13, after the woman threatened to leave him. He was unemployed
with bills mounting at the time. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
Isom also faces 4 attempted murder charges for allegedly shooting at 4
responding police officers.
The Times of Munster reported Sunday (http://bit.ly/wSMiiv ) the jury will be
sequestered for the Lake Superior Court trial scheduled to last as long as 4
