Sidon’s Investigative Magistrate called Monday for the death penalty to be
given to the man charged with the February murder of a money changer in the
southern coastal city.
Sidon’s Examining Magistrate Munif Barakat called for the death sentence
against Syrian Nasser Fares, 22, for the Feb. 28 robbery and murder of Mohammad
Natout.
Fares stabbed Natout to death and robbed his store of $5,000. He confessed to
the crime shortly after his arrest on the day of the killing.
