The man responsible for a deadly shooting rampage in Hernando County 2 years
ago is scheduled to be sentenced today.
A jury found John Kalisz guilty of murdering his sister, Kathryn "Kitty"
Donovan, 61, and her office manager, Deborah Buckley Tillotson, 59. 2 other
people, including Kalisz's pregnant niece, were injured in the shooting
The were shot at Donovan's home on Wilhelm Road in Brooksville in January 2010.
According to documets, Kalisz told investigators he shot everybody until the
bullets ran out or until they shut up.
Today, a judge will decide if the jury's recommendation of death should be
followed or if Kalisz should receive life in prison.
Kalisz, 56, is already serving a life sentence for killing a Dixie County
That shooting happened after Kalisz left his sister's home and headed north to
Cross City, where he got in a shoot out with authorities and killed the deputy.
